			JOHN In 1944, John was picked for the US Army’s Chemical Enhancement Program (C.E.P) based on his record as a captain with fierce loyalty. John was the sole survivor and only considered success of the program. After the war, he led a peacekeeping force in Germany, covertly operating to quell some of the potentially stronger arms of SS resurgence factions. In 1965, the US government began creating the 2nd Generation of enhanced soldiers by extracting and splicing John’s DNA – the Genetic Enhancement Program (G.R.P.). Until 1990, John led the fifteen 2nd Generation agents (‘The 15’) as clandestine task force for the United States. A born leader and brilliant military strategist, John leaves relative seclusion in order to protect the offspring of his former comrades. His tough demeanor, prickly nature, and his opinionated viewpoint can often causes friction by those closest to him, yet he also inspires unquestioned loyalty.

			KATHRYN After the death of her parents, Kathryn was left to care for her sister Mandy - a single parent just barely into adulthood. Kathryn strives to be a strong supportive force for her sister, protecting her from harm and awareness of the danger they are in.

			MANDY Mandy lost her parents as a teenager, which left her with her sister as her only family. The experience of losing her parents has left her cynical and prone to a darkness of thought, which the support of her sister keeps at bay. Overly protected from a young age, Mandy experiences a feeling of ‘otherness,’ which causes her to be disconnected from the rest of the world.

			RO The second youngest of the 3rd Generation, Ro is unrelentingly idealistic. Determined to make a difference in the world, he often dreams of using his powers to help others. Due to John’s strict orders against this, Ro can sometimes feel stifled and restless. After the death of his parents and a long series of foster homes, Ro now lives with Aaron and Gabby following the formation of the Community.

			AARON Aaron is known for his quickness to anger and stubbornness. Information is sparse on Aaron’s whereabouts after his mother’s death, until he reconnected with Gabby. His love for his wife is an anchor that allows him peace from his anger. Distrustful of the influence of authority, Aaron has long held John’s leadership in contempt.

			GABBY At times both sunny and sardonic, Gabrielle shows little of her family’s past in her personality. After the desertion, Gabby and her parents fled west to start a new life. Following their death, Gabby reconnected with a fellow 3rd Generation offspring, Aaron, and the two were married in 1999.

			AGGIE Beneath the taciturn and demure exterior, Aggie is fiercely protective of her loved ones. Following the death of her parents, Aggie traveled the world looking for some semblance of peace. Unlike the rest of the 3rd Generation, she stayed in regular contact with John and remains his closest confidante.

			SADIE Compassionate and empathetic, Sadie is a favorite amongst the Community. During the time the 3rd Generation was split up, Sadie made every effort to stay in communication with her ‘family.’ She became the unofficial counselor to everyone when the 2nd Generation began to die. Sadie pursued this skill set in college and now works at the local community college as a student resource for all things academic and personal.

			LIZ (ELIZABETH) The eldest of the 3rd Generation, Liz received the most military training before the desertion. Afterward, she and her father joined a survivalist camp in Washington, near Spokane. Her father died on the same day she gave birth to her son. After recovering, she left the camp to raise her son in isolation. First and foremost, Liz is a survivor which makes her indifferent to social niceties.
